The Central Library came into existence in 2009, along with the establishment of the Central University of Rajasthan. Presently the Library is functional in a semi-permanent building with a carpet area of about 1326 sq. ft. The Library possesses a hybrid collection (print and electronic) of learning resource materials in science, engineering, management, social science, language, humanities, sports science and yoga. The Library acts as the focal point and supports the teaching and learning processes at the University. It serves as a reservoir of knowledge accessible to the University community through highspeed intranet and internet connectivity. The Library is fully air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled, and has a well-established cyber library with 15 networked PC connected to LAN, which helps users access thousands of electronic resources subscribed through e-ShodhSindhu and internet resources such as NPTEL and e-PG Pathsala etc. The Central Library has a reading hall with a seating capacity of approx. 400+ students.
All the Library’s routine activities have been automated using KOHA Open sources Library Management Sofware. Besides, Library implemented RFID technology for detecting theft and enhancing circulation services. The OPAC service is available 24/7 through the CURAJ campus-wide network.
